Smoke free places in Graz

Posted on 16/11/201816/11/2019 by Giulia

As of November 2019, smoking inside restaurants and bars has been banned in Austria. Making this blog post outdated. 🙂

As a non-smoker, I find it quite annoying in Austria that there is no ban yet on smoking in restaurants and clubs. If I go for a night out, there is a 90% chance that I have to wash every single item of clothing on my back when I get home. Here is a list of smoke-free places in Graz, where smoking is not allowed.

Since there are many international people in Graz, mostly coming from European countries, I thought it might be useful to have a list of places where it is not allowed to smoke, so that people can have a fun night out without having to inhale second-hand smoke.

I also plan on making another list of places where there are well-separated smoking and non-smoking areas.

This is list is in no way complete, as new places pop up in Graz constantly, but I will try to update it as often as I can. If you have any tips and see that places are missing, add a comment below and I will add it to the list. 🙂
